Zhaoting is an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering. He joined Dr. Cruz’s research in the beginning of 2019 as he started his first Dean’s Research Award project under the supervision of Dr. Cruz. He has finished three DRA projects towards masonry and concrete so far.
Zhaoting currently focuses on the application of statistical analysis methods on the prediction of lateral strength of both concrete and masonry shear walls. He also investigated the strength reduction factor for concrete and masonry structures in Canada with finite element modeling.
